Erik Herron manages the site. Erik is an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Kansas. From 2004-2007 he served as Director of the Center for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies. His primary areas of research are elections and political parties in post-communist states. Erik first developed the site in 1998 as a research tool for undergraduate students taking his course on the Politics of the Soviet Union and Successor States at Michigan State University. The site has grown tremendously, due in large part to the efforts of Dr. Brian Silver. The MSU Center for European and Russian Studies hosted the site until the summer of 2001. It is now housed at the University of Kansas. The KU Department of Political Science provides support for the site. For more information about Erik, visit his personal site or download his CV.
