Bio:Allison Hetzel is an Assistant Professor of Theatre at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette she teaches Voice & Speech, Movement, and Acting in the Department of Performing Arts. Since joining the UL - Lafayette faculty in August of 2003, she has directed Prelude to a Kiss and is currently working on The Boys Next Door. Recent acting credits include Lady Smatter in The Witlings and Medea in Medea Redux. She has also served as the vocal/text coach for Othello, The Birds Meets Godot and Bitter Tongues. Allison has led voice and acting workshops in Virginia, Louisiana, and Scotland; she has also performed in Romania at the International Theatre Festival of 2002. Currently, she serves as a Respondent and Irene Ryan acting coach for ACTF Region VI, and she is an active member of VASTA (Voice and Speech Trainers Association). She holds an M.F.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University.
