Bio:Karina Lemmer holds a BA (Hons) in Theatre Practice and has worked as a specialist consultant with the Image Excellence Group since 1995. She is also a Lecturer in Speech Sounds and Phonology at Tshwane University of Technology's Drama Department. In 2001 she completed her MA in Applied Linguistics (Distinction) with a study that focused on "Audio-psycho-phonology to improve the English pronunciation of Zulu-speakers". This study resulted in continued research into pronunciation testing, language notions and related areas. A qualified TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) instructor, for the past eight years her focus has been Speech, Voice, Language, Writing and Communication skills training, working with corporate clients in South Africa, Botswana, Namibia and Kenya. Karina has delivered papers on voice, language and speech in the business context, at both academic and business conferences. Karina has also been involved with the University of Johannesburg and the University of Pretoria, as a guest lecturer in voice systems and related subjects since 2001.
