lynn watson imageLYNN WATSON has worked extensively as a voice, speech and dialect specialist at leading regional theatres. Her credits include numerous productions at Arena Stage in Washington, DC; Kennedy Center productions of The Glass Menagerie (dir. Gregory Mosher) and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (dir. Mark Lamos); and four seasons at the Tony-winning theatre, South Coast Repertory. Other credits include critically acclaimed productions of A Streetcar Named Desire at A.C.T. (San Francisco) and Skylight at the Mark Taper Forum. She is an Associate Editor of the Voice and Speech Review (Pronunciation, Phonetics, Linguistics, Dialect/Accent Studies). Her writing and articles in VSR include: "The Theatre Vocal Director in the U.S. and England,” and a play review (Old Money by Wendy Wasserstein) and accompanying interview with lead actor Mark Harelik.  She wrote "Actor and Vocal Director” for the online magazine, Acting Now.  Lynn is an Associate Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework; professional affiliations and memberships include the Voice and Speech Trainers Association, Actors' Equity, SAG and AFTRA.  She is an Associate Professor of Theatre at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
