Faculty

Each faculty or staff member is responsible for making their own reservations using the School of Business Equipment Reservation System via Outlook. See below for instructions on how to reserve equipment.

Equipment may only be reserved by faculty, staff, or instructors of record.  Equipment may be picked up by their designee, but must be returned to its proper location, in the same condition (cables connected and neatly stored, etc.) within 418 or 213, and remains the responsibility of the person reserving it. 

By reserving the equipment you agree that you know how to use it and will be responsible for it.  Laptop, projector and camera training is available from the Tech Staff, 213 Summerfield, by appointment, in advance.  Cart training is available from the Wagnon Room Lab Staff by appointment, in advance.  This is especially important for OH1 and OH2

Below is a list of equipment available for reservation by staff and faculty.

2) How to Reserve Equipment

  1. In Outlook click on the arrow next to "New", on the menu bar, and then select "Meeting Request"
  2. In the "Meeting" window, click on the "To" button
  3. In the upper right-hand corner of the "Select Attendees and Resources" window,

    1. click on the arrow and scroll until you see "Resources - Equipment"
    2. and then select "Business" under that.
  4. In the box on the left-hand side, you will see a list of AV equipment to choose from.

    1. Double-click on the item you wish to reserve. It will then appear in the Required box.
    2. Click on "OK"
  5. In the "Subject" box in the "Meeting" window, type in your name and class number or other relevant info.
  6. In the "Location" box, type in the room number of the classroom/conference room you will be in.
  7. Choose your Start Time and dates and End Time and dates.  Please add one half hour to the Start and End times to allow set up and removal of equipment.

    1. If this is a recurring reservation, you can click on the "Recurrence" button on the top menu bar and fill that window out according to what you need.
  8. Click on the Scheduling tab to verify equipment availability.  If the equipment is unavailable close the Meeting window saying No to saving the changes.  If we have other similar equipment (laptops, VCR carts, projectors) go back to Step 1 and select another piece of equipment.
  9. Click on the "Send" button. You will receive a confirmation or a rejection of your reservation within 24 hours.

3) Obtaining Reserved Equipment

Portable computer carts with a projector or the TV cart with a DVD/VCR combo are delivered and picked up by the students that work in Harper and Wagnon computer labs.

Everything else, such as laptops, projectors, etc. must be picked up and returned to Summerfield 213. Please ask the receptionist for assistance with this.
