  1. Double click the wireless connection icon in the system tray in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. It may have a red X on it.

    (If you do not see this icon in your system tray, click on Start | Control Panel | Network Connections and right-click your wireless network card and choose properties. Check the box that says "Show Icon in System Tray". Then check the system tray again for the icon and double-click on it.)

  2. Click "View Wireless Networks" in the bottom right corner of the Wireless Network Connection Status box.

  3. In the next window, if you have a valid KU ID and password, click on Jayhawk, and then click Connect in the bottom right hand corner.

    1. If you are a guest and do not have a KU ID and password, click on KUGUEST, and then click Connect in the bottom right hand corner.

  4. After you are connected, open Firefox or Internet Explorer. Depending on which network you chose, a KU login screen or Terms of Service aggreement will appear. You must login using your KU ID or accept the aggreement to access the internet through our wireless networks. Once you complete this step, you are free to navigate away from the page and start browsing.
