Welcome!

The Graduate Writing Support Program (GWSP) offers instruction for graduate students in writing grant proposals, literature reviews, thesis and dissertation proposals, research articles and other publications. Our classes are highly individualized; graduate students meet with their instructor to get feedback on whatever they are writing and students cite these individualized meetings as the reason they make so much progress. We also offer a class on presenting research, in which students practice a range of genres from poster sessions to formal research presentations.

We offer workshops for graduate students, faculty members, and departments on such topics as

• writing comprehensive exams or proposals or theses/dissertations or research articles or grant proposals
• using sources effectively
• mentoring graduate students
• succeeding in graduate school
• providing the resources graduate students need.
