This Web site has been created to facilitate dissemination of information about archaeological research undertaken in Golfito, Costa Rica under the direction of John W. Hoopes, of the University of Kansas, in 1990 and 1992. It will provide access to research reports, maps, photographs, and the results of analyses of ceramics, lithics, faunal remains, botanical remains, and other cultural materials. While making this information available on the Web is no substitute for traditional publication, it is hoped that this medium will facilitate the use of project data by individuals currently engaged in research on the Golfo Dulce region.

Este sitio en la WWW se ha creado para facilitar la divulgación de información sobre investigaciones arqueológicas realizados en Golfito, Costa Rica bajo la dirección de John W. Hoopes, de la Universidad de Kansas, en 1990 y 1992. Proveera acceso a los informes de campo, mapas, fotografías, y los resultados de los analisises de cerámica, lítica, restos faunales, restos botánicas, y otros materiales culturales. Mientras que esta información en la WWW no reemplaza la publicación tradicional, se espera que este medio facilitara el uso de los datos del proyecto por los estudiantes y arqueólogos que estan realizando investigaciones en la región del Golfo Dulce.
