I was born in Karachi,Pakistan. Karachi is uh ... is the largest city of Pakistan, it’s a metropolis with a population of about 20 million people. My country is one-sixty million. And um I was grown in um … kind of conservative ah, family so, uh, I was taught religious values as well as umm … modern schooling was also done so I went to a uh English medium school. And uh from beginning we were taught English, Urdu, the two languages and uh math and all the … and the science subjects came later on in seventh and eighth grades and uh I did my high schooling, middle school/high schooling in Karachi and I moved to US for college and uh got my bachelor’s degree in Minnesota, and this is my masters degree. And most of my friends are from there. I have also friends at school, mostly those whom I work with in my research, and mostly the people who I know from classes.
