Bio: Lou Anne Wright received her MFA in Theatre Voice Coaching and Training from the National Theatre Conservatory in Denver and is certified as an Associate Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework. She has served as voice, speech and dialect coach for many organizations, including the Colorado Shakespeare festival and the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Lou Anne is also a professor of voice, speech, dialects, acting and theatre history at the University of Wyoming.
 
Her writing credits include the Jefferson-award winning play Kabuki Medea and the screenplay for the movie The Hitch-hikers. She is also the co-author of the books Playwriting: From Formula to Form (Harcourt Brace) as well as The Art of Theatre (Wadsworth), an Introduction to Theatre text now going into its second edition.
 
As an actor, Lou Anne has worked extensively on stage and has appeared in the films The Laramie Project and Heresay.
 
Lou Anne lives in windy Wyoming with her husband William Missouri Downs and her dog Scooter Libby.
