TRANSCRIPTION OF UNSCRIPTED SPEECH

I was born in Caracas, Venezuela, which is the, the capital of the country.  It's a big city, about *six million people, *very busy, very, a lot of d'y'know, a lot of traffic, a lot of noise, a lot of mud.  Very modern city: a lot of big buildings and sky-rises, and highways, and everything, but *but at the same time a lot of poverty, like all the Latin American countries.  [Interviewer speaks.]  No, I lived there until I was eighteen years old.  Then I moved to the United States and I lived there for *fifteen years.  Then I went back to Venezuela for a couple of years, and then I moved to Spain for almost two years.  And now I'm in Canada since December first.

[* = vocalic pause]
