Support Spaces: equipment, counter and miscellaneous

The following list illustrates the most commonly used support spaces in an office environment. The support spaces include files, shelving, cabinets, equipment and miscellaneous items such as work tables, public or work counters and transport carts.

The table top equipment space standard can be applied on various equipment if the sizes are approximately the same. The same applies to small foot print work station that can accommodate any equipment with a work surface and desk chair.

The counter space standard can be use in multiples of four or five feet lengths. For example, for a 20 feet counter, use four units on the counter standard H1b.
