Located in the Sociology Department at the University of Kansas, Social Thought and Research is one of few student-run sociology journals in the United States.

STAR is offering one $100 award to the authors for the best work submitted for Volume 32, along with a $75 runner-up award!

Social Thought and Research is now available electronically! All of the issues of STAR, as well as its predecessor journals Kansas Journal of Sociology and Mid-American Review of Sociology, are available through KU Scholars. Our most recent issue is listed through EBSCO's electronic database and all previous issues can be found through Sociological Abstracts. Full text electronic access is also available through Google Scholars.
