Located in the Sociology Department at the University of Kansas, Social Thought and Research is one of only two student-run sociology journals in the United States (along with the Berkeley Journal of Sociology at the University of California at Berkeley).

All of the issues of STAR, as well as its predecessor journals Kansas Journal of Sociology and Mid-American Review of Sociology, is available through KU Scholars. Our most recent issue is listed through EBSCO's electronic database and all previous issues can be found through Sociological Abstracts. Full text electronic access is also available through Google Scholars.
